Our Very Own Death Trip
Static-X at the HOB

After a month of thinking we were going to Lollapalooza, we finally decided to go to the Static-X
show like 2 days within the events. We were glad we made the decision change, because this was at
the good ol? House Of Blues in Anaheim at Disneyland, in other words Lori-land. She was excited
we got to go to Disneyland and go to a show after it all. Lori was also really proud to wear her Sheep
Mafia shirt (he he). Regina, Lori?s neighbor, also came. Although when we got there the worst that
could happen... happened, the show was sold out. After 10 minutes of panicking I told Lori and
Regina that we will get in by scalpers or sneaking backstage. We tried to sneak backstage, which was
accomplished, but nothing happened. We met a tech for a couple of bands, who we would later see
again. I pretended I knew Tripp really well because I thought he was going to throw us out from
backstage I barely know Tripp, I?ve only met him a couple times. Anyways we leave backstage and
once again wait outside for scalpers. People started cuing up now, still... not scalpers. I luckily met
up with a friend, Beatleguise, and he had an extra ticket. Now we needed... 2 more. We hung around
outside for another hour, finally finding enough scalpers to buy off. We were so happy we finally got
to go in and see the show. As soon as we get in we see Tripp, who still recognized me. It?s not
everyday that one of your favorite bands recognizes you. That was tripp-y ...heh. Anyways trouble
was arising when Regina informed her parents about the show ending really late, she unfortunately
had to go home before Static-X got to play. We were in the bathroom for around 2 hours trying to
convince her parents to let her stay. We got to know the bathroom lady really well, Lori kept talking
to her in Spanish she recently learned in Panama. When Regina left, it was almost 11, time for
Static-X to play. The room was absolutely packed, it was so difficult to squirm to the front. We were
lucky enough to middle. I kept complaining about being tired and my feet hurting, I couldn?t wait
for the show to start. Once it did we nearly got swept away, but we still kept together and squirmed
further to the front and side. The show was absolutely amazing, best Static-X show I?ve been too.
The people were crazy too, it was non-stop! We were infront of Tripp most of the time, he looked
like an elf because his nails, shirt, and hair, were all green. Elves are cool. Anyways the band played
a few songs from the new CD coming out on October 7th called ?Shadow Zone?. They seemed
awesome, people enjoyed it. The band kept drinking shots onstage, they sometimes were nice
enough to give it to the audience. Once again we were surrounded by fat people, I don?t know
whatsup with the House of Blues and fat people. We eventually got to the very front of the stage. It
was the sweatiest concert EVER, we were both drenched in sweat, both ours and the fat people (fat
people are still cool though) It smelled like feet too. Once the incredible show ended we tried to do
what we do best as true Sheep Mafians, get backstage. We did the same thing we did at the Lit show
and it actually worked! Once again we also stole stuff from the stage: drumsticks, picks, and empty
cups from the shots the band took onstage. We also met the tech guy again and another stage crew
guy, and took a bunch of photos of the stage. This was the last show in their hometown, so a lot of
their family and friends were there and we didn?t want to be rude and interrupt to much, although
we still did. But we got to meet most of the band, Tony, Wayne, once again Tripp. We also met our
fist Sheep Mafia fans! They were awesome we talked to them a lot, we wanted another photos with
Wayne with them but Wayne never came back out. We met the whole band except Nick, maybe next
time. All of a sudden a bunch of guards were screaming RoseMary and Lori, I thought we were gong
to be kicked out, we were led out of backstage to upstairs to the exit, then we saw Lori?s dad and
realized he was waiting there and told the guards to find us. How embarrassing! Haha it was still a
lot of fun, by the end of the night everyone knew our names, which even we thought was kinda
weird.

Regina and RoseMary wait miserably outside the House Of Blues desperately
hoping for someone to sell us tickets

We once again meet Tripp, guitarist of Static-X, and he even recognized us!

This show was by far the sweatiest we've EVER been too. Although it's one of the
best we've been to also!

Yay! Wayne and us, even after the show his hair was still awesome

We caught Tony before he left, he was awesome to meet. The whole band was nice!

This was especially awesome, we actually met our first Sheep Mafia fans!!!
