Dilshan’s cousin, Shayhan, took RoseMary, Dilshan, and I to Hollywood to the Axis of Justice show at the Avalon. Axis of Justice is non-profit organization formed by Tom Morello of Audioslave and Serj Tankian of System of a Down. Its purpose is to bring together musicians, fans of music, and grassroots political organizations to fight for social justice together. The concert featured many famous people including—Flea, Jurassic 5, Maynard James Keenan, and Pete Yorn among others. We met some famous people including Chris Rock. I’m glad I got to support the cause—anything anti-war and therefore anti-bush I’m always in support of!
